A Brassworks Easter in Berkeley

EASTER at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL of BERKELEY, April 4th
Come celebrate Easter with the Brassworks Quintet, Organist Larry Marietta, the Choir and Congregation of First Congregational Church of Berkeley. We will be performing for one Service on Easter Sunday, April 4th. A special Prelude concert featuring the Quintet and Organ will begin at 10:00. The Service begins at 10:30 and ends before Noon. FCCB is located at the corner of Dana and Channing, close to the U.C. Berkeley campus. Admission is free; there will be a freewill offering. For more information, call FCCB at 510-848-3696.

Swing the Night Away in downtown Redwood City! Experience a special evening of delicious cuisine and great Vintage Jazz & Swing for listening and dancing on Saturday, April 10th. Jazz pianist/chanteuse Sara Klotz de Aguilar will entertain from 7:30 until 8:15PM on the Bell Theatre Stage. Then, The Brassworks will come on to play great Swing, plus Latin, Lindy, Waltzes, Motown, R&B and Ballads, for dinner and dancing from 8:30 until 10:15 PM.
Dinner seatings are every half hour from 6:00 to 8:30 PM.

YE GASKELLS VICTORIAN SPRING BALL

Dress up and dance till Midnight at our next Victorian Ball, hosted by Ye Gaskells Occasional Dance Society. It’s at Oakland’s Scottish Rite Center, 1547 Lakeside Drive. (Back parking lot is on Madison Street.) The Brassworks plays 8:30pm-12:00. Elegant Victorian period attire is admired but not required. Gaskells favorites include waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, schottisches, Sir Roger de Coverley and The Congress of Vienna.
$20 Admission includes a complimentary dance lesson at 7:40, free punch & potluck fingerfood. (Do bring some to share.) Also, for those wanting it, a Dance Class is offered in the same ballroom, from 3:45 to 6:15 p.m., for a separate $10 admission.
